When the Honolulu Pulse said, “Willie K can play or sing almost anything an American audience might ask for,” that wasn’t hype, it was the literal truth. The Hawaiian phenomenon Willie K is undoubtedly the only artist in the world who can go into an Irish pub in the middle of Maui and play anything from indigenous acoustic Hawaiian music to jazz, reggae, rock, country and even opera—and not only get away with it but leave everyone within earshot slack-jawed in astonishment. No less than Prince is a huge fan, calling Willie K a “funky mother#%@&er,” while another avowed fan is a fellow Hawaiian who goes by the name Barack Obama.

Praised for her originality in song composition and ability to stir the deepest emotions with spellbinding and soulful vocals, Paula Fuga has established herself as one of Hawaii’s top female entertainers. Starting off as a poet, Paula bloomed into a songwriter and accomplished ukulele player studying under Hawaii master instructor, Roy Sakuma. Her debut album, “Lilikoi,” received a prestigious Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award for Most Promising Artist.

Paula is an artist on a mission and music is her vehicle. At an early age, she faced the vulnerabilities of living homeless on the beach and seeing the destruction caused by drugs and violence. Today, while pursuing a soaring music career, Paula makes countless efforts to participate in various community projects focusing on protecting the environment and spreading the fundamental values of her native Hawaiian culture.
